About

Monotoca Music aims to support musicians to create and release their music through collaborative partnerships that celebrate diversity and recognise the strength of music and its ability to bring people together.

We aspire to support artists from diverse backgrounds, building long term relationships that recognise the importance of music as a form of expression that celebrates language and culture.

Artistic directors Jodie Kell, Clarence Playford and Annastasia Lucas have a commitment to correcting imbalance through conscious effort to involve women in all aspects of music production and promotion. In this way we aim to provide opportunities for creatives to work with talented women in recording, performance, promotion and management.

As producers we work closely with artists to meet their needs and create a comfortable space so the creativity can flow with the least amount of pressure. In today’s music industry, we aim for flexibility enabling our services to shape shift for the diversity of artistic approaches and workflows.

We acknowledge that we are working on Aboriginal land, that was never ceded. We pay our respects to elders past, present and emerging.
